Title Research: Dead Man on Campus

Image
The titles are probably the best ones I have ever seen in a while. It has the cast and all that on a little test because it takes place all on a campus and it shows how the people died in the movie on the test. The Images that are shown really set the mood to a who done it (basically a mystery). Its perfect of the start of my mystery movie except for the whole school campus theme. This into perfectly sets the theme of the mystery franchise indication that the intro had enough information to tell you that you are going on a wild goose chase with the main characters. Like Scooby-Do... but with blood. This can give the 1900s feels also because of how old this movie is and more people may like watching this movie based of of nostalgia or like me doing this project. The technology was not advanced but they had pretty good transitions and cuts between the scenes.

Title Research: Number 23

Image
I just want to say that the entire openings title is the true meaning of mystery. A whole bunch of the same number that sets the mood of the story and blood. The images were really just numbers but you can get alot of meaning from it. Like what is number 23, when is number 23 and why it had 6.5 on rotten tomato's. But again with how people are into this kind of movie is very simple. Mystery had a major spike in the early 2000s. That and comedy, horror was a main thing of the late 1900s and 2010s. But I can remember how popular mystery was. These are the ideas and skills I will use the pull a audience. Now the Technology... I have to say it could have been better, but the use of the 23 fading in and out the the sudden appearance of blood was pretty creative if I do say so myself .

The titles that are shown in this intro are the corporations that made the movie and the cast of the movie. It also showed the actually movie name after the main cast. The images of this opening sequence are what I think to be nerves or part of the brain. It is really hard to know what I am seeing but I kinda incorporates the fact of mystery. The connotations (I'm not going to lie but I looked up connotation) the image carries is like a eerie vibe like something just happened. It could also have someone going in their past to find out a mystery. I feel like I'm repeating my self when I say that the feeling that it gives that eerie vibe like a murder happened and the person may have hit their head or something. With that the opening scene may as well be a mystery or horror movie. This can target a audience by giving a... I'm repeating myself. The technology actually rendered well considering it look like the same thing for 1 minute and 15 seconds. It quickly switched from e

Title Research: Splice

The titles in this movie are the crazy well created cast and of course the corporation that made it. This was the weirdest movie in the world btw and with this the intro had to me all like genes and stuff. The images in this were little cells roaming around but they look like they are mixing with each other. As I said they used the cells to make the actors name shout out to Delphine Chanéac. Welp if I had to show a feeling for that into it would be in-between a fever dream and eating food poison. It is so random with makes it perfect for a mystery movie. The only way this can appeal to audience is if they are bored on the couch and accidently find this movie. The title is enough to get people interested on what is happening or why I am watching this. If I had to talk about the technology of this movie it is decently better than the time period. Something from 2009 made like that is pretty amazing.

Genre Research: Jigsaw

Image
This had to be the best SAW movie I ever watched. What I would use Is the camera angles on this because there is a lot of shots were I do not need to hold the camera. What I like about the movie is all the traps and different reason for them to be there. Also how it metaphorically shows hoy jigsaw is actually a good guy getting justice of innocent kills. What I hate about this movie is that it confirms that he is dead and a random guy who was supposed to die on the bucket trap survived and set up all the traps.

Genre Research: Murder on the orient express

Image
The Movie Murder on the Orient Express has the props I wanted to use in this film. This includes a weapon and detective equipment. Also I has the costume I want which is more of a formal look. What I like about the movie is that at the end Hercule finds out that all the people on the train were part of the murder. What I don't like about this movie is how he sells himself out so he does not get murdered. It has a pretty unsatisfactory ending out of most of the movies that I watched.

Genre Research: Spiral: A Book of Saw

Image
For this movie it has the surprise twist ending where the father still dies by the cops and all the other trap scenes that went on in the movie. In this movie I liked the use of props and all the costume designs. Also with the set and all the different kind of sets that went on in the movie. In this Movie I really didn't like how over the top gory it was and alto the price range of the opening scene of the movie. In that scene the guy is in a reverse beartrap on a stool in a subway.

Genre Decision Blog

So as I say all the time the easiest one is the best one. So I will be using mystery as my opening sequence. This was a really hard decision considering that comedy was a complete throw away and horror is my favorite topic. With that I fell that it would be easier with only one person doing a openings scene to a movie then a horror. The horror, I would do with multiple people, but with mystery I can just use one person to figure out the mystery. Also with the horror there will be a lot of graphic scenes so I will just go with plain and simple mystery. Now with comedy I just really didn't feel like cracking jokes in fount of a camera. Then again comedy needs multiple people to do this. I am doing a solo act again so I will stick with mystery.

Genre Research: Comedy

Image
Comedy In CAMS there is: Tracking shots, pan, wide shot, medium shot, medium close up, two shot, over the shoulder, and three shot. In CLAMPS there is: Costume, acting, make-up, props, set In Editing there is: Split screen, Insert, cutaway, action match, and eyeline match. In Sound there is: Sound bridge, Sound motif, Dialogue, voice over, score, soundtrack, and ambient sound.   Examples: Grown Ups, Medea, Jumanji: the next level. I like comedies is really just because they make me laugh  and is good to watch with friends. The biggest down side is that there are more cartoon comedies or the same person making comedies.

Genre Research: Mystery

Image
Mystery For CAMS there is: Dutch shot, low angle, Zoom, Tracking shot, Establishing shot, Medium long shot, two shot, and three shot. For CLAMPS there is: Costume, Light, set, and props. For Editing there is: Split screen, cutaway, Insert, shot/reverse shot, and eyeline match. For Sound there is: Diegetic Sound, Dialogue, score, ambient sound, and Incidental music. Examples: I know what you did last summer, Spiral: A book of saw, and Murder on the Orient Express.  I really like mystery movies because I have really been into mystery like I have been in to horror but I consider reading mystery books. What I hate about mystery is that its very cliché.

Genre Research: Horror

Image
Horror For CAMS there is: Dutch angle, eye level, pan, tracking shot, close up, medium shot, and over the shoulder shot. For CLAMPS there is: costume, props, set, and make-up For Editing there is: Cut away, Insert, and cross cutting. For Sound there is: sound bridge, Sound motif, score, and ambient sound. Examples: Scream, Friday the 13th, Us, and The Shining. I personally love horror genre. I almost watched all mainstreamed horror movie in the world and still waiting for more.  The genre of horror has been used countless times, yet the killer end up doing mostly the same thing.

The most easiest choice of my life - Pitch blog

Image
The Good Pitch So I have the idea that there are a group of murders happening at the same time. While this are happening one guy is trying to find out who was behind all the murders. I like this pitch because I like all the Scream movies. I used to watch them when I was younger and I have always been a huge fan of the company. So I wanted to base it off of that.  The Other pitch So a guy and his friends are on a trip to the forest. All of a sudden the ground starts shaking and a huge dome encapsulates them. I really don't like this one that much because of the fact that there are so many mystery movies that have the person going to the forest then all of a sudden a monster or killer attacks them. Its very cliché.
